My name is Erin Bross. I am the single mom to Serena, a loving child affected by a rare 11Q disorder called Jacobsen's Syndrome. I use crafting as a form of stress relief and offer every item up for sale

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I welcome most custom and personalized orders. Please note however that in certain circumstances I can not accept returns or exchanges of these items. For example, an item made with a specific, rare name sewn on it as this would not be something I could list again for sale.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I am happy to send a personalized card or note along with your order upon request at no charge.
Gift wrapping of small items is available upon request for no additional charge. Gift wrapping of larger quilts or heavier items will incur an additional $5 charge to cover the costs of wrapping paper and additional shipping costs. Please contact me for details prior to purchasing.

Sizing details

Most items will be listed in the standard US sizes or in inches.
If you would like an item to be made in an odd or in between size, please contact me prior to purchasing for details and a special listing just for you!

Care instructions

Hand washing in cold water, without bleach, and laying flat to dry is the recommended form of care for all knit and crochet items.
Quilts can be washed on low, with cold water, and without bleach and other items. Drying can be done by laying flat, hanging up to dry, or on a lower heat setting in your dryer.

Progress updates on custom/special request items

Custom/special request item updates will be done via Etsy every 10-14 days. Pictures will also be sent. This will be a time to stop me if you spot an error (possible wrong color for example). Please respond directly on Etsy (hitting reply to sender on the email notification does not respond to me) within 24 hours. If I don't receive a response to progress update messages I will assume you're satisfied at that point.
If, after receiving your finished item, you decide a color or pattern isn't acceptable I cannot issue a full purchase price refund, as updates will have been sent. In this case there will be a 30% reshelving fee applied. Please make sure to view all progress updates directly and respond to any issues you see immediately.

Packaging Materials

I reuse boxes and packaging materials as often as possible.
The materials will be undamaged and not have odors to them at the time of mailing.
If you'd prefer only brand new, never used packaging supplies please message me asap.

How are supplies (yarn, thread, fabrics, etc) and completed, non-made to order items stored?

All supplies, such as yarns and fabrics on hand, and completed, non-made to order items are stored in plastic rubbermaid style containers. This helps protect everything from any dust or normal household smells (such as air fresheners).
Our home is pet free and smoke free.

Why do shipping costs seem high?

All shipping costs are dictated by the United States Postal Service. They charge a standard amount based on where an item is shipped from/to, the type of service being used (domestic first class, Priority mail, international first class, etc), the weight of the item (including the packaging materials/boxes), and the size of each package.
Like you, I agree shipping costs are outrageous but I do my best to offer a wide variety of shipping options at the lowest price possible. Any over charges of $1 or higher I will refund automatically.

Knit/Crochet wearables care instructions

All knit and crochet items should be hand washed, in cold water, without bleach.
Lay flat to dry.
Machine washing and drying or hanging up to dry will stretch the item to the point it will no longer hold its shape properly.
The machine washing/drying and/or hanging to dry also adds undue stress to the fibers used, which, in turn, will cause the item to tear much easier.
